Bigelow Green Tea Packaging Redesign

The criteria for this Bigelow tea packaging redesign was to appeal to new demographics. The thought process behind the lanterns is related to the history of green tea.
Historically, green tea has been around for thousands of years, originating in China. It has changed as it spread to other cultures throughout the centuries, but the green tea Bigelow was inspired by is Chinese green tea. With a tea that has been a part of everyday life for so many Chinese individuals, past and present, it’s a pivotal part of food culture.
Chinese lanterns are an iconic symbol of festivals and worship in modern China. The color red has very prominent symbology in Chinese culture, including prosperity. Red lanterns are used during joyful occasions, celebrations, and multiple festivals.
This positive connotation was the goal in the design of the packaging.

Layout and design was created in Adobe Illustrator, and packaging mockup was created in Adobe Dimension.
